Conducting Production Estimates in Mining

Earthwork operations include much more than just moving the earth. In a mining operation, project managers keep in mind the following check points in order to have a reliable management decision.

Production estimates
- This is to identifying the Production Rate of each equipment unit by calculating the work done over unit of time.

Production control
- Systematic monitoring of the entire operation in order to identify production output, machine availability, equipment utilization, downtime etc.

Production records
- Such records may include, machine history and logistics records for constant review and analysis.

Therefore, it is helpful to have a common method of recording, directing, and reporting production.
